With MME, Im able to record the guitar while monitoring the drum track but a) the 30ms latency makes it pretty much impossible, and b) in any case it only recordsplays on the left channel, regardless of how I adjust the inputoutput settings on the track itself as well as in Channel Mapping. Oh, and not sure if its supposed to be this way, but I notice that MME gives me two options under Audio Hardware: one for input and one for output, while WASAPI only gives me one. I do have a Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter showing up in the Recording Devices but its level is set to 14. I played one song with no problem but then on the second song there was a small cracking sound and the guitar sound stopped working.
Ive tried a variety of inputoutput settings on the two tracks, but so far have had no luck. I tried Rocksmith and the I lose the guitar sound. Interestingly, even though it says Not working, I was able to record a sample, but thus far have been unable to do so while monitoring the drum track. To answer your question, yes, it does work in MME (I have no ASIO option), but the lowest latency is 30ms, inadequate for recording against the drum track thats already on there.
